This week, we finished at least one injection molding run of each part of our yoyo. You can read details here.
The most exciting part is that we have a single completed and assembled yoyo! The parts fit together, albeit this took some process tweaking. Here's a photo of the yoyo:
From doing our first part run, we have learned what process parameters we need for injection molding for our production run. We've also learned the best order of assembly, such as that it's easier to assemble by putting the hat on first.
Now all that's left is to continue tweaking and prepare for assembly!
